The 98 Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club (DSEHC) is pleased to be one of the five sites to host a 2010 Super98 Tier 1 Tournament Series. The tournament will feature only the top Tier 1 teams across North America. The Dallas Super98 Series tournament will take place 19-21 Feb 2010 at the Dr Pepper StarCenter – Valley Ranch located at 211 Cowboys Parkway in Irving, TX.

 

The best 98 Tier 1 hockey is coming to Dallas not Dallas going to Detroit, Chicago or Toronto!!! Come out and watch the top 98 Tier 1 teams in the country play against each other in Dallas.

 

 

The Super98 is a series of hockey tournaments around the country that are completely different then any other tournament as they attempt to minimize costs … a typical tournament generates revenue for the sponsoring team and/or organization. Some of the hard costs include gate fees per game, hotel kickbacks to the organization and high entrance fees. Some of the soft costs include the minimal guarantee on the number of games, limit on length of game and mixed competiveness of the games. In total, this makes for a very expensive weekend and high cost per game to the point of making such an endeavor unaffordable to many teams.

 

With the Super98 Tournament series, each team will play a round robin of 5 games. After the five game preliminary round robin each team will play a final 6^th game as follows: 1vs2, 3vs4, 5vs6. Each team will play two games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a total of 6 games

 

 

1 - Minimize the overall cost (no hotel kickbacks, no gate fees, Sponsored)

2 - Maximize efficiency (2 games per day)

3 - Maximize number of games and length of the game (6 game guarantee and 17 min periods)

4 - Maximize Competition (Top 20 teams invite - ensuring highly competitive games)
