Scholarships
JENNIFER A. KEMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club (DSEHC) has established the Jennifer A. Kemp Scholarship Fund through a foundation grant from the Jennifer A. Kemp Foundation. When funds are available, 100% of these donations are used to offset the cost of season fees. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, parent/player involvement, and volunteer efforts. In the event you have a legitimate need for financial assistance, please read the Jennifer A. Kemp Scholarship Fund Guidelines carefully.
For the coming year, the application must be filled out completely and submitted no later then May 1st, prior to the year support is desired. Applications will be reviewed throughout the year for special situations.
The DSEHC will also accept qualifying donations on your player’s behalf from sources that you solicit i.e. friends, family, employers or local businesses under a separate DSEHC Sponsorship Program.
Scholarship Guidelines
1. Scholarship awards will be dependant upon the financial status of the account used to fund the Jennifer A. Kemp Scholarship Fund.
2. Scholarships shall generally be limited to 75% of the team fees per recipient per year.
3. Scholarships will be awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. Any applicant with a combined adjusted gross income (typically shown on Line 36 of IRS Form 1040) of $100,000 or more will not qualify for a scholarship award.
4. A complete application* must be submitted to DSEHC on or before May 1st for the coming year but will be considered on an exception basis during the year.
5. The DSEHC scholarship committee will review all applications for a Jennifer A. Kemp Scholarship and will notify all applicants as quickly as possible whether or not they have qualified for a scholarship award.
6. The player for which a scholarship application is submitted shall include a letter from the player (not the parent) that contains a description of them self and their hockey experience.
7. In the event a player leaves the Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club during the season in which a scholarship has been awarded, 100% of the scholarship award must be refunded back to DSEHC.

· Academic Information
· Extracurricular and Community Activities
· Letters of Recommendation from Unrelated Party
· Letter of Recommendation from Current or Most Recent Head Coach
· Letter from Player
