Player Background

Bob grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He played youth and high school hockey in Pittsburgh, and four years of college hockey at Iowa State University.  Bob was a team captain for two seasons at Iowa State, and a 2009 inductee to the Iowa State Cyclone Hockey Hall of Fame.

Coaching Background

The 2011-12 season will be Bob’s 14^th year of coaching youth hockey.  His coaching experience includes each birth year level from Mini-Mite to U15.  Bob’s past teams have advanced to a total of 39 tournament championship finals, and prevailed as Champions 20 times.  These include a Silver Stick International Championship, 2 Texas State Championships, and a Rocky Mountain District Championship.  In addition, Bob’s teams have twice advanced to the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament, where they once finished as a National Quarterfinalist, and once as National Bronze Medalists.

Bob and his wife Ellie have been married for twenty-two years and have three children; Sam (18), Nick (15), and Mary (13).
