The Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club is excited to announce that we have hired Nate Henry to be our Director of Athlete Development. Nate has been in the fitness industry for over 12 years and has worked with hundreds of athletes ranging from professional athletes to youth teams. Aside from his valuable experience in the field, Nate holds certifications and specializations as a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Youth Exercise, ACE and NCSF CPT, a member of NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association) and is a certified Nutrition Coach.

Nate has recently relocated to Dallas from Denver, CO where he spent several years working at Landow Performance which is one of the more reputable athletic performance companies in the United States with a long history of training professional and Olympic athletes. He was also the owner of Henry Performance, Facility Director of MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) at MindGym, and also the onsite MAT Specialist, where the majority of his clients are treated to assess and help correct muscular imbalances to improve overall performance.

Though Nate has experience working with various audiences in the sports performance sector, he has a niche for hockey and has been instrumental in the development of several hockey players including those currently playing in the USHL, WHL, and at the USNTDP. He also has a lot of experience working with youth hockey teams.

As our Director of Athlete Development, Nate will be offering Stars Elite players age specific strength and conditioning, nutrition education, mobility training, injury prevention/recovery, and several other services to help our players be the best athletes possible.  With the season already underway we will slowly start incorporating Nate into the organization and as he gets acclimated to Dallas and the long-term plan is for him to be an integral part of the development of all of our players both in season and in the off-season.
