What is The Rocky Mountain District Player Evaluation Camp?

The RMD Camp is part of USA Hockey’s player development process. USA Hockey’s Youth Council / National Player Development Committee run the national player development camps. The purpose of the national camps is to further develop, educate, and identify national team caliber players from across the country. Each of the twelve districts that makes up USA Hockey conducts a Player Development Camp. The National Boys Camps will be held in Buffalo, NY, and the girls in St Cloud, MN. What is the purpose of the district camp?

There are multiple purposes and objectives of the camp. Players attending will:

• Be on the ice with NCAA College, Junior, AAA, Prep School, USAH National and, sometimes, NHL personnel

• Have the opportunity to measure themselves against the best players in the district

• Be exposed to scouts and higher level coaching.

• Be evaluated and ranked for selection to the gender and birth year specific National USA Hockey Select Camps.

Who is eligible to attend?

All US citizens, whose primary residence is within the Rocky Mountain District (AZ, CO, ID, NM, OK, TX, and UT). The 2018 District Camp is for boys who are born in the years of 2003, 2002, and 2001.

What about Boys born in 2004?

USA Hockey does not have a National Camp for boys born in 2004. Boys born in 2004 are eligible for the Western Regional Multi-District High Performance Camp which will be held in Colorado Springs June, 2018. Players will be selected for this Camp through their State Player Development Camps. For additional information on this camp please see FAQ for the Multi-District camp.

2002 BOYS

The male 2002 birth year players listed below are invited to the RMD Player Development Camp at the Dr Pepper StarCenter - Valley Ranch on May 11-13, 2018. 

2003 BOYS

The male 2003 birth year players listed below are invited to the RMD Player Development Camp at the Dr Pepper StarCenter - Valley Ranch on May 11-13, 2018. 

2004 BOYS

The male 2004 birth year players listed below are invited to Western Region Player Development Camp at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO, on June 16-21, 2018. 

The USA Hockey Multi-District Development Camp is designed to develop and prepare players for the USA Hockey Pacific, Rocky Mountain, and Northern Plains Districts. The camp closely resembles the National Player Development Camp Hosted by the USA Hockey National Office.  Click here for more information.
