Key defenseman for the Dallas Stars Elite Girls 19U Tier I, Bronwyn Khangsar, has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Rochester Institute of Technology. Bronwyn has spent over five years with the program, and continues to be a highly skilled player for her team. On top of hockey, Bronwyn also participates in high level marching band competitions where her dedication and hard work is likewise shown. Bronwyn is a confident and consistent player and will be a great addition to the incoming 2021 RIT class. “Bronwyn is a heads up player with an extremely high hockey IQ. She has tremendous skill fundamentals and is a natural leader, coachable player and fabulous teammate. I am excited for her as her success is well deserved. There is no doubt in my mind she will have great success both on and off the ice at RIT. She is another great example of a homegrown Dallas Female hockey player advancing to NCAA DI.”

Bronwyn is one more DSE Girls NCAA DI commit that is added to the ever-advancing and developing list of players over the past few years. The organization expects many more to come with the strong support of the Stars and the current Stars Elite player development rate.

The Dallas Stars and the hockey community in Texas, including TAHA and the DSTHL, have gone above and beyond in supporting the female hockey growth in the state. It all starts with the leadership the Dallas Stars, who have provided the female hockey player living in Texas with incredible opportunities. At a young level, the Stars provide a variety of female specific learn-to-play programs. At the DSE Girls level, the ice-time and player development environment provided for the Dallas Stars Elite Girls program is equal to top programs in North America. The Stars local hockey league has provided the opportunity for all the Elite girls to play against predominantly male teams which have been great for the girls’ development.
